Fourteen people have been killed and several others injured in the south-eastern and Central United States as 83 tornadoes swept across the country.
The national weather service said it had received 83 reports of tornadoes in the affected regions by yesterday evening.
Local officials said the whole small town of Marysville in Clark County of the state of Indiana was destroyed and one person was killed in the county.
Two people were also killed in the town of Holton, Indiana.
The Homeland Security Department of Indiana said six other people were killed in Jefferson and Scott Counties.
The department said five people were also killed in the state of Kentucky.
