copy of zbc staff.jpgChristmas is a time for giving and forgiving. To express this spirit, ZBC’s News and Current Affairs staff at Pockets Hill spared time to exchange Christmas gifts on Tuesday.

It was indeed a carnival atmosphere as journalists took time to appreciate one another through giving.

While it is more blessed to give than to receive, the act of receiving is also a gratifying experience.

Speaking at the event, Manager Online News, Mr. Moses Charedzera, emphasised that Christmas is a time to forgive each other and start on a fresh page.

“Although people may shout at each other during the course of duty, they remain a unit. Unity should not only be regarded as political, but should also be interpreted in social terms,” he said.

Assignments Editor, Albert Chekayi encouraged the spirit of giving which he said is the greatest expression of love.

He said, “Christmas is a time to appreciate one another and this can be shown through giving. Giving is the greatest expression of love.”

A time to give, a time to receive indeed and a time for a news start. Such is the spirit of Christmas, said some staff.

The idea of togetherness was cemented by the fact that one did not choose the person to whom he/she would buy the present as names were randomly picked.

The occasion was also attended by General Manager News and Current Affairs, Mr. Tazzen Mandizvidza and Manager Current Affairs, Clifford Mufiri.
