The Time and Jazz Music Festival has roared into life today in the capital Harare with this year’s edition promising to be bigger and better as the country’s leading jazz musicians are set to perform over the weekend.

The Time and Jazz Music Festival that was rebranded from the Winter Jazz Music Festival is a jazz extravaganza held annually in Zimbabwe with the aim of promoting as well as developing jazz music in the country.

Time and Jazz Music Festival promoter, Josh Hozheri says the music festival is a must attend for all jazz loving fans stating that a strong line up of musicians has been selected to perform.

Hozheri says the inclusion of non jazz performer such as Sulumani Chimbetu and Jah Prayzah on Saturday is aimed at increasing the appeal of the festival to a wider audience.

He says the old generation will be taken down memory lane as the festival will mix the modern jazz music and the old township jazz that was popular in the yester years.
