jameson timba.jpgPolice say the investigations into the case of the MDC-T Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Jameson Timba, in which he is alleged to have undermined the authority of President Robert Mugabe by calling him a liar, are almost complete and the beleaguered Minister can be arraigned before the courts anytime soon.

Timba who was released from custody on Sunday, could find himself picked again as police told ZBC News that the Minister still has a case to answer.

Police spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner, Wayne Bvudzijena, could not confirm or deny that Mr. Timba can be re-arrested but insisted that he will appear before the courts soon for breaching Section 33 of the criminal code,  stipulating that it is a serious offence to undermine the office and person of the President.

Meanwhile, police have warned MDC-T members to desist from invading police stations and stop interfering with police operations whenever their members are arrested as drastic action will be taken against such activists.

The police also warned the MDC-T hooligans who murdered inspector Petros Mutedza while on duty that this sad tragic event and latest invasion of Rhodesvile and Matapi Police stations following the arrest of Mr. Jameson Timba will not be tolerated in the future.
