seed.jpgBeneficiaries of the Presidential Well-wishers Special Inputs Support Scheme have applauded the programme, describing it as a welcome initiative coming at an appropriate time.

It was joy for Harare residents, who benefited from more than 90 tonnes of maize seed in Dzivarasekwa Extension and Highfield.

The beneficiaries hailed the initiative saying it has taken the burden of seed sourcing off their shoulders particularly after the Finance Ministry had failed to address issues affecting them as urban and small scale farmers.

Zanu PF Politburo member, Senator Charles Tawengwa reminded the people that they owe it to the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe, who continues the fight to empower the people of Zimbabwe.

The inputs scheme is an annual programme spearheaded by Cde Mugabe to support farming activities for small and medium farmers.

The inputs are currently under distribution in all the country’s ten provinces.
