Zanu PF Masvingo province has been urged to be wary of elements who may want to bring disorder within the party.
Politburo member, Cde Mike Bimha (pictured), who was the guest of honour at the provincial inter-district meeting, said whenever people are united, some people always want to cause commotion to disrupt the party’s progress.
As members of the Zanu PF party who occupy various leadership positions from district level upwards met at the Masvingo Polytechnic, one of the key messages was for the party to watch out for divisive elements.
Cde Bimha said it is usually other fellow leaders who bring disorder after they seek to pursue their own selfish agendas at the expense of the party.
“When you are united, that’s when the enemy comes in. The enemy comes from within, especially from those in leadership. It starts when someone begins to think he/she is more Zanu PF than everyone else,” said Cde Bimha.
The party’s provincial chairperson Cde Ezra Chadzamira said they are aiming to retain all the 26 constituencies in the 2018 general elections.
“We need to retain all the 26 seats come 2018,” he said.
The conference saw the party members singing revolutionary songs as they reminisced the days of the liberation struggle.
