Stakeholders in the environment, water and climate have embarked on massive projects in Mazowe North constituency with a view to ensure sustainable use of water bodies and protection of the environment.

Favoured by the existence of water bodies which are under utilised, Mazowe North in partnership with stakeholders erected boreholes at ward level while the plantation of fruit trees has become the order of the day.

Minister of State for Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs Advocate Martin Dinha said sustainable utilisation of water for irrigation is critical complimented by water harvesting programmes introduced at schools.

Some of the stakeholders included officials from ZINWA, Forestry Commission, Environmental Management Authority and officials from Zimparks who all gave insights into what their organisations expect from communities for the sustainable development.
