The curtain came down on the Zimbabwe National Volleyball League with Support Unit crowned champions in the men’s category while Harare City were winners in the ladies category.

Support Unit’s 3-1 victory over second placed UZ Wolves granted them the 2017 Zimbabwe National Volleyball League championship title with a six point gap.

UZ Wolves were however convinced their second place finish is a good improvement for them having finished fifth last season.

Team 70 as the Wolves are known was also crowned champions in the Harare Volleyball League.

Wolves ended their campaign on 20 points while third placed NABA collected 15 points.

Harare City were fourth on 13 points while Bulawayo Spartans who had a disappointing campaign collected 4 points one ahead of Black Rhinos who finished fifth on 3 points.

In the ladies section, Harare City collected 17 points six ahead of second placed UZ Wolves.

Bulawayo Spartans had 8 points while Support Unit failed to collect a point during the entire league season.
