Parents have been urged to support the new education curriculum.

Speaking during a prize giving ceremony at St Francis of Assisi in Chikomba, the guest speaker, Commander Zimbabwe Defence Forces, General Constantino Guveya Chiwenga said the introduction of the new curriculum is a positive development that needs to be supported by parents and other stakeholders.

General Chiwenga, who has a Catholic background, advised students to use social media constructively.

Established in 1965, St Francis of Assisi currently has an enrolment of 784 students and recorded a pass rate of 96,5 percent at Ordinary Level and 100 percent at Advanced Level.
