Dendera musician, Sulumani Chimbetu and his backing group Orchestra Dendera Kings have left for the United Kingdom where they will perform a series of shows starting this Friday night with a concert at Starlite Club in Leicester.
Speaking to ZBC News just before departure at the Harare International Airport, Sulu who was accompanied by members of his Orchestra Dendera Kings band said he is looking forward to some exciting shows in the United Kingdom.
He said he is going to showcase songs penned by his late father Simon Chimbetu and some from his latest CD album, Non Stop.
Orchestra Dendera Kings last toured UK in 2006 when Sulumaniâ€™s uncle, Allan, was at the helm of the group.
Since his debut album two years ago, Sulumani has been churning out hits and at the moment he is rated among the countryâ€™s top musicians.
He has shared the stage with the likes of Oliver Mtukudzi with whom he produced the popular duet, Kwedu.
