Speaking at a Maize Field Day held at his Corncopia Farm in Mazowe, Cde Kasukuwere urged the Minister of Finance, Mr.Tendai Biti, to stop using party politics to de-rail the Land Reform Programme as it is a government initiative which deserves support inorder to boost the country’s economy.

Mashonaland Central Provincial Administrator, Mr Josphat Jaji said despite the illegal economic sanctions imposed on the country and lack of funding from the financial sector, the Land Reform Programme has been successful.

Cde Kasukuwere planted 28 hectares of maize seed this season among a variety of other crops planted on the farm.

The field day was attended by Deputy Minister of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture, Cde Lazarous Dokora, ZANU PF Mashonaland leadership and farmers within the area.
