A clinic completed almost seven years ago in Chief Mapanzure’s area is yet to be commissioned.

There is anxiety that villagers are being shortchanged as the beautiful facility which even received funding through the initiative of Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is yet to service the community.

Built to completion in 2010, the clinic whose structures certainly catch the attention of passers is yet to be commissioned.

In the process, villagers continue travelling long distances to the nearby Mapanzure and Matenda clinics for medical attention.

Mr Ndabanengi Siziba, who was one of the builders involved in the construction of the clinic is a bitter man that after all these years, the facility has not been opened.

In the process of construction, Vice President Mnangagwa is reported to have even given over US$130 000 to aid completion of Lundi clinic.

Ward 3 Councillor Martin Mapfumo says he was not yet in office during that time but knows that currently financial constraints are the reason why clinic is still yet to open.
