The Harare Basketball Association (HBA) held elections last week which saw the Sam Mbofana executive taking over from the Andrew Chitauro executive.

The newly elected HBA executive will have to hit the ground running after the hand-over take-over if they are to take basketball to dizzy heights.

HBA spokesperson Carlos Munda confirmed the appointments and challenged the new executive to restore sanity in the sport.

The elections saw Mbofana assuming the reigns as president, Samantha Mutavatava as secretary general, Ruvimbo Makamure as the human and youth development commissioner, Benjamin Jan taking charge of the athletes, while Martin Mukweva as the technical officer and Peter Mushonga elected the competitions officer.
