The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee has continued with its drive to churn out efficient and effective sports administrators through the Advanced Sport Management Course which got underway over the weekend.
ZOC is leading the charge in capacitating administrators with the requisite skills to run national sport associations in a proficient and effective manner.
The Olympic committee began its 6th intake of the Advanced Sport management Course with a full capacity of 25 sports administrators.
Course Director Edward Siwela said success stories are being recorded from their initiative as most associations with trained administrators have shown improved management.
â€œThe main objective of such a course is to provide a basic understanding of the concepts in sports management. Furthermore, smoothening and resolving matters at hand in order to enhance the growth and development of sport in the country,â€ Siwela elaborated.
The national Olympic committee has since received recognition from the International Olympic Committee for its impressive administration of previous courses.
