president south sudan minister.pngVisiting South Sudanese Minister of National Security, General Oyayi Deng Ajak has met the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe at his Zanu PF offices.

General Ajak expressed gratitude to President Mugabe and the people of Zimbabwe for having contributed towards the liberation of his country.

He was accompanied by Director-General in his office, Major General Thomas Duoth Guet and three other senior officials.

Earlier, the delegation laid wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the National Heroes Acre in Harare.

General Ajak paid tribute to Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Libya for playing prominent roles in the liberation of South Sudan.

 

“We are very very grateful to the support of President Mengistu and the people of Ethiopia, at the sametime to President Mugabe and the people of this country for the tremendous support that they have given us. Without their support, our history would have been different,” said General Ajak.

The three day visit also saw the General exchange notes with his counterpart and other security arms of state.
