Society has been urged to seek divine intervention in times of tribulations in order to create harmony among humankind.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses Chinhoyi district recently convened a conference where the focus was on inculcating a sense of hope among pilgrims even in the face of tribulations.
The convention’s theme, “Be Courageous”, pointed to a desire by the church to have members who face reality and tackle problems rather than easily break when faced with challenges.
Mr Fisher Kumirai and Mrs Miriam Mugandani both members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses who attended the Chinhoyi district conference, said it is the role of the church to help society pull through challenges, and create harmony.
They also emphasized the role of the church in fostering binding family ties.
The convention was attended by pilgrims from Chinhoyi, parts of Zvimba, Hurungwe and Makonde.
