The SMEs International Expo has ended in Harare, amid optimism that linkages created over the last four days will translate to increased business opportunities.

SMEs International Expo Chairman, Mr Delight Makotose said what remains is for entrepreneurs to exploit the linkages and contacts that were established in order to expand market share.

The expo, which ran under the theme: ‘Adhering to Good Corporate Governance and Standards for Global Competition,’ attracted hundreds of entrepreneurs including foreign exhibitors engaged in fashion and textiles, arts and crafts, hardware, construction, health, detergents and ICTs.

Organisations like the National Social Security Authority (NSSA), Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) also utilised the platform to interface with SMEs.
