Battle lines have been drawn in the six team netball tournament organised by the City of Harare as part of the cholera and typhoid awareness programme.
As part of efforts to plough back to the community and promote sportsmanship, the City of Harare will this Saturday stage a six team netball extravaganza involving community teams.
Harare City Queens chairperson Dorothy Mavolwane said the local authority will use the tournament to educate residents on good hygiene practices to prevent the cholera and typhoid scourge.
The netball tournament is part of the municipality’s vision of promoting netball in the community.
Netball tournaments involving community teams will soon be staged in other surrounding areas as part of the local authority’s strategy of remaining visible and accessible to address residents’ concerns.
