nato bombing.jpgNATO says six Afghan policemen were beheaded on Wednesday, following an insurgent attack in northern Afghanistan.

The military coalition said the militants attacked a number of government buildings Tuesday, including a police checkpoint, in Baghlan province’s Dahanah-ye Ghori district.

NATO said the attackers overran the checkpoint and decapitated the six policemen.

Also Wednesday, a NATO service member, whose nationality was not realsed, was killed by an explosion in the south.

The death brings to 65 the number of NATO service members killed in July.
