Harare Athletic Club athlete, Nkosiyazi Sibanda claimed his third Europcar 32 km run title after racing to the finish line in a time of 1 hour 45 minutes and 33 seconds on Sunday.
After beginning at the 11 km peg along Shamva road, the Harare Athletic Club athlete powered to the finish line in a time of 1 hour 45 minutes and 33 seconds.
After finishing 15th at the Berlin Marathon earlier this year, Sibanda capped off a fruitful 2011 by crossing the Old Georgians finish line in first position.
Race Director, Marc Pozzo expressed satisfaction with the turn out, indicating the event keeps growing each year.
Sibanda came first ahead of Gilbert Mutandiro, who finished second in a time of 1 hour 46 minutes and 35 seconds.
Ngonidzashe Ncube was third, crossing the finishing line after 1 hour 46 minutes and 50 seconds.
In the female category, Sharon Tavengwa came out top, recording a time of 2 hours 7 minutes and 17 seconds.
Tabitha Tsatsa came second after running a time of 2 hours 11 minutes and 37 seconds, while Alicen Manake came third.
The 41st edition of the Europcar 32 km road run attracted over 194 participants.
