Youths have been challenged to desist from drug abuse by participating in activities such a sport.
This comes as cases of drug abuse are on the increase.
Speaking during a sporting extravaganza hosted by the United Methodist Church at Glen View 2 High School, Youth Advisor, Mr Robert Mugonera said the sporting extravaganza emanates from the desire to stimulate conversations around the dangers of drug abuse.
District Sport and Recreation Officer in the Ministry of Sport, Arts and Recreation, Ms Sara Charakupa and ZNNP Youth Advocate, Munyaradzi Chiduku outlined the key role sport plays in curbing drug abuse.
Youths who participated in various sporting activities expressed satisfaction with the programme.
The event was also graced by young talented traditional dancers from different schools in glen view.
