Zanu PF has urged Bulawayo province to shun divisive tendencies and strive to retain party members who may have backslided.
Addressing a Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting in Bulawayo, Zanu PF Secratary for Administration, Dr Obert Mpofu said there is no room for divisions in the party, hence each member should strive towards ensuring increased membership.
“Let’s go out to the people and lure them to the revolutionary party. Even those who would have backslided should be lured back to the big tent,” he said.
Dr Mpofu also challenged party members to fight for a common cause for the good of the party.
“Let’s all unite and work together for a common cause. In 2023, we want more people to vote and we should start at district levels to mobilise people,” he said.
Zanu PF Deputy National Political Commissar, Cde Omega Hungwe said as the commissariat, they are ready to get to the bottom of the problems that are affecting the province.
“We want to find out the problems rocking this province as the commissariat, we want to start with the cells going to the districts,” she said.
The meeting also discussed the need to prepare for 2023 elections where the party aims to get a clean sweep over its opponents.
