Zanu PF Politburo member, Retired Chief Air Marshal Perrence Shiri has called on Zanu PF members to remain united and fight for a common cause of developing the nation.
He made the remarks during a Zanu PF Mashonaland Central Provincial Coordination Committee (PCC) meeting in Bindura
“We should find ways to correct each other amicably with the aim of building our party. The media was last week awash with negative reports of perceived conflict but there are no signs of people at war. So as a party we must focus on development and shun divisions,” Retired Chief Air Marshal Shiri said.
Zanu PF Mashonaland Central Chairperson, Cde Kazembe Kazembe reminded party members on the thrust of devolution.
“Let us go down there and do something as districts and as wards, and it will all add up to the GDP of the country, that is what we should be seized with, so I am appealing to you comrades, let’s unite,” he said.
In line with the Zanu PF constitution, Senator Monica Mavhunga who was elevated to be Mashonaland Central Minister of State for Provincial Affairs last year will no longer conduct commissariat duties after the province asked her to continue as provincial political commissar until a suitable replacement is found.
