The underprivileged youths from Makokoba constituency in Bulawayo are set to benefit from the recently launched Tshinga Dube Foundation following the availing of a multimillion dollar package by South Korean based charity organisation Kyiana.

Youths from impoverished families in Makokoba could sigh a heavy relief after their house of assembly member Retired Colonel Tshinga Dube launched a foundation to cater for their educational and sporting needs.

The foundation is in partnership with Kyiana Charity Organisation of South Korea.

It got a massive boost as the South Korean organisation chipped in with a US$50 000 cheque at the inception of the foundation.

Youths were also presented with soccer kits and balls worth thousands of dollars at a function held in Makokoba constituency.

Kyiana Charity Organisation Southern Africa brand ambassador Advocate Lucas Moyo said his organisation is set to plough more for the Bulawayo community.

Retired Colonel Dube urged youths to take advantage of the new initiative and desist from self-destructive activities like indulging in drugs and alcohol.

The launch of the foundation saw officials from the Ministry of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture as well as sports personalities like Highlanders coach Erol Akbay and Ndumiso Gumede gracing the occasion.
