Bumhudzo Old People’s Home received a shot in the arm after receiving groceries donated by a local church to assist it with its day to day needs.
As part of the church’s mandate to help the needy, Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe Malat Assembly handed over groceries to Bumhudzo Old People’s Home at a ceremony held at the home in Chitungwiza.
Pastor Simeon Zavehokonya said the donation is a gesture of love and promised the church will continue to support the home.
Receiving the goods Major Lovemore Meda the Projects Manager at Bumhudzo and the beneficiaries welcomed the goodwill gesture as coming at an opportune time.
For many elderly people just a day with grandchildren around, showing love and care is a day well spent.
On the same day, the Leos Club also took time to interact with the old people and also handed them more groceries.
