The 50 minute film, “Mazimba – Till His Wife Do Us Part” was directed by Tafadzwa Bondokoto and is now set to premier in one of Harare’s movie houses.

The film which was shot in Shona in association with Sollyhood, stars two main actors who are husband and wife, Happy Manyewere and Susan Masiyambiri also scooped the best actress of the year award.

“This was a great honour for me to win this award and I am urging other film makers to work hard. One thing though is that they must not forget home and this is the reason why we are at home to showcase the film,” Masiyambiri said.

In the film, Susan is one of the single Zimbabwean nurses based in the United Kingdom who meets John (Happy Manyewere) and she falls in love with him not knowing that John is a family man who had left his family back home in Zimbabwe.

All hell breaks loose when Susan finally finds out the truth while John’s wife back home in Zimbabwe had just been granted a visa to follow him to UK and that predicament makes him regret why he has been fooling around with other women in the Diaspora.

The Zimbabwe Music and Arts Awards UK (ZIMAA) are held annually in the United Kingdom and their objective is to honour Zimbabweans who are excelling in music and film production in the diaspora.
