coaches training ed.jpgPremiership outfit Shooting Stars, who are already in full throttle in preparations for the forthcoming season say they are intent on putting up a much better showing than last year when they survived relegation by a whisker.

A large pool of old and news players is undergoing intense preparations ahead of the commencement of the 2011 premiership season.

Last year, the Wild Boys had a poor season in which they finished a lowly 11th in the 16 team log after a lot had initially been expected from them.

Shooting Stars Coach, Gishon Ntini says they have put together a competitive squad in an effort to rectify last season’s shortcomings and hopefully mount a serious challenge for honours.

Shooting Stars captain, Elliot Matsika echoed his gaffer’s sentiments and reckons they will put up a much better fight than last season.

During the 2010 premiership campaign, the Wild Boys won just 8 out of 30 matches and lost a staggering 13 in what turned out to be a disappointing season.

This year, Shooting Stars hope to land an elusive premiership title and add their name to the list of first timers in recent years which boats of Monomotapa, Gunners and more recently, Motor Action.
