After a fruitful day of enough competition and as much comedy displayed during the music versus football legends charity match, the patron of Zimbabwe music legends who is also patron of Dynamos Football Club, Cde Webster Shamu said the match is an expression of what a unity of purpose can achieve.

Cde Shamu said: “Since musicians mirror a life of a country, the organisers should strive to extend the match into the region as it will chart out Zimbabwe’s call for a united Africa.”

While the match brought the community together to give towards Zimbabwe’s two representatives in the African safari Dynamos and Motor Action, it celebrated the other skills endowed in most musicians, with Jazz artist Victor Kunonga winning the player of the match award.

It also gave others an opportunity to sell their sports regalia to the public though disappointingly there were no jerseys for Zimbabwe’s local teams.
