Concern has been raised over failure by the government to provide free testing services and hospital fees for children living with HIV and AIDS.
This comes after revelations that most children living with HIV and AIDS are failing to access treatment while most of those who can access treatment are failing to raise funds for testing services.
Seke Home Based Care Representative, Ms Stella Tsitsi Paraziva said despite the government providing free treatment to children between zero to five years, children living with HIV and AIDS are still forced to pay for testing and treatment.
Ms Paraziva said a Seke District Survey has revealed that the number of children living with HIV and AIDS requiring care continues to increase.
She said approximately 40% of the children are being cared for by older people who are finding it difficult to raise money for treatment and care.
