Five sculptors from Borrowdale, Harare are earning a living from the art of wood carving as they make an effort to come up with eye catching artifacts.

On display is a beautiful selection of African wood carvings of animals, chairs and stools, made out of top quality hard wooden material.

“These perfectly polished and carefully crafted sculpture pieces best represent the African setting and culture,” said one of the club members, Bright Gambe.

The five sculptors have been in the wood carving business since year 2000 and they have improved both in quality and quantity, according to Wiseman Chitate, who is also a member of the sculpture team.

The artists have also managed to use dead wood to come up with a number of brilliant artifacts.
