Sculpture traders in Bulawayo have bemoaned low business in the city due to the low tourist arrivals.

Despite having some of the best sculptures as witnessed by a number of successful exhibitions hosted by some of these artists internationally, low tourist turnouts is threatening normal operations of these sculptors in the City of Kings.

Speaking to the ZBC News, some of the sculptors appealed to the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority to recognise their place of work so as to attract more tourist customers.

Youths in the sculpture business appealed to the government to provide them with a much bigger space where they can work from.

Zimbabwe has produced some of the world’s best sculptors and most of them exhibited in countries such as Australia, Germany, Norway and Italy, among others countries.
