Scotland and Ireland have become the first two teams to arrive in Bulawayo for the ICC Cricket World Cup qualifiers.
The two sides who are in for some warm up matches touched down just before lunchtime today (Sunday) aboard an SA Airways flight at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport.
Part of the welcoming team included Zimbabwe Cricket officials, SRC Bulawayo Province officers and other cricket stakeholders.
The visitors were treated to some African dances and songs with the Zimbabwe Cricket committee member who is also the Bulawayo Metropolitan cricket chairman, Vumindaba Moyo expressing his excitement that the work of preparing for the qualifiers was bearing fruit with the successful arrival of Scotland and Ireland.
While other sides to be based in Bulawayo are expected to arrive from tomorrow (Monday) onwards, warm up action gets underway on Tuesday before the official start of the qualifiers on the fourth of March.
