Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) is now in full swing on the national sensitisation of the Zimbabwe National Standardisation Strategy (ZNSS) across all the sectors of the economy to enhance quality services and products.

The ZNSS has been developed to give the nation guidance on national standards required to address social and economic development that the country is seeking to achieve, said SAZ director general Dr Eve Gadzikwa, who spoke on the sidelines of a workshop held for policy makers today.

The regulatory framework will come as a major boost for exports to Zimbabwe especially at the moment when the country is seized with economic initiatives to increase export receipts, sentiments echoed by Mrs Angelica Katuruza who is a director in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Enterprise Development.

The standardisation strategy is set to complement several economic blue prints that have been proclaimed as well as various national policies that will resuscitate the country’s fortunes.
