sanganai logo.jpgThe Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair kicked off today in Harare with a procession from Unity Square to Harare Gardens.

The procession with an entourage comprising of travel tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers, models and traditional dancers among other tourism stakeholders, halted traffic in the city centre as pedestrians stopped to catch a glimpse of the procession, with the main highlight being the spin motor show.

Guest of Honour at the occasion, Acting Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, who is also the Minister of Media, Information and Publicity, Cde Webster Shamu said tourism should be used to promote peace and unity in the country.

This year’s Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair is running under the theme “Promoting Peace Through Tourism” and will be running until Wednesday the 12th of October.
