Organisers of the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo say they have received over 100 percent bookings of their target from companies and buyers to participate at this year’s tourism exhibition to be held in Bulawayo.
The country’s premier tourism exhibition roars into life in September with organisers overwhelmed by the response they got from companies and operators that have since registered to participate at the three day exhibition.
The organisers were targeting 230 companies to participate but already 240 have registered, with buyers also exceeding their target, according to Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) National Convention Bureau Managing Director, Mrs Tessa Chikaponya.
Bulawayo Local Organising Chairman, Mr Innocent Nezungai, who is also the Director of the School of Hospitality and Tourism said his team is conducting training lessons to small operators so that they meet the international standards associated with the exhibition.
This year’s 10th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani travel expo will be held concurrently with the Intwasa Festival of Arts where an international musician is also billed to perform.
