sanganai expo logo.jpgThis year’s international tourism investment and marketing exhibition – Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Fair is expected to feature a partner country and at least 500 exhibitors, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority has revealed.

The event aimed at marketing the country tourism industry to international tourists by inviting buyers and investors to the country will feature a partner country for the first time to participate alongside local players.

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Acting Director for Destination Marketing, Mrs. Tesa Chikaponya said this year’s expo will be bigger to incorporate more players and seeks to attract additional buyers.

“Exciting news is that we have a very bid potential partner and the expo is growing to greater heights since rebranding three years ago and this is to attract more players.

“We have seen results from the previous expos we have held,” said Mrs. Chikaponya.

She added that some countries which had withdrawn the country from their travel catalogues due to negative publicity had re-instated the country as a choice destination due to continued marketing efforts.

Sanganai has been slotted on The United Nations World Trade Organisation Calendar.

World tourism is one of the fastest growing industries despite being slowed down by the global financial crisis of 2008.
