As the 2017 Sanganai – Hlanganani World Tourism Expo draws closer, tourism players in the country have been called upon to come on board and exhibit at the event, which is set for the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo from the 29th of September to the 1st of October.
This year’s edition of tourism expo will start with the commemorations of the World Tourism Day on 27 September where the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) has partnered with the organisers of Intwasa Arts Festival to celebrate the tourism day.
This was confirmed Mrs Tesa Chikaponya, the Executive Director in charge of National Convention Bureau at the ZTA.
She said ZTA is already organising a marketing workshop to capacitate local players on how to take full advantage of the international expo to market their products.
Mrs Chikaponya however said she was happy with the enthusiasm shown by players in Bulawayo in supporting the event and challenged those who have not yet booked their participation to consider this as a lucrative business opportunity before them.
Mrs Chikaponya also called on the people to support the expo.
Free medical services will also be offered at this year’s event as the tourism authority has also gone into partnership with a medical institution.
