With only a few days before Sanganai/Hlanganani exhibition in the capital, Zimbabweans have been called on to support the tourism exhibition by joining the street carnival and parade on the 8th of October, to mark the beginning of the event leading to a family fun day later during the day.
Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister, Cde Mzembi, took time from his busy schedule to move in the streets of Harare distributing T-shirts, caps, fliers.
“Sanganai is important for Zimbabwe because it attracts a lot of buyers and foreign exhibitors who will market Zimbabwe as a destination of choice in their country of origin.Zimbabwe remains unique and one of a few authentic biodiversity conservation country considering that Europe has destroyed its ecosystem,â€ said Cde Mzembi.
Zimbabwe Council for Tourism President, Mr. Tendai Madzivanyika, said all Zimbabweans should rally behind the successful hosting of Sanganai to enable it to be an international event which is an alternative to Indaba South Africa in the long-run.
According to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) 2010 bulletin, Zimbabwe is the second fastest growing tourism economy in the World after China.
