The construction of the first ever Salvation Army School in Manicaland has begun and the primary school which is situated in Hobhouse in Mutare district is expected to open its doors for enrolment beginning 2018.

The ground breaking ceremony of Sekuru Sunday Primary School in Hobhouse area in Mutare marks the commencement of the construction process of the first Salvation Army School in Manicaland Province.

The Minister of State for Manicaland Province, Cde Mandi Chimene challenged religious organisations to forge strong ties with the government in championing development.

Salvation Army territorial programme secretary, Colonel Trustmore Muzorori said the church is committed to promoting development through the establishment of schools.

Under phase one four classroom blocks, teachers houses are expected to be completed by year end.
