Visiting South African College Schools Rugby (SACRS) side began their Zimbabwe tour on a high after registering a 37-22 victory over Prince Edward High School on Friday (yesterday).

There was some exciting school boy rugby at Prince Edward High yesterday where a visiting SACRS side faced off with Prince Edward.

The visitors looked in good nick in the first half with a dominant display powering the South African schools outfit to a 15-3 lead.

Prince Edward, however, proved no pushovers with a vital try that was converted taking the score to 15-10 at half time.

In the second half, SACRS remained positive as they posted a 37-22 victory which ensured they began their tour of Zimbabwe on a positive note.

Despite the defeat, Prince Edward High School Sports Director Tawanda Jimu was grateful for the opportunity to face stiff competition which offered a yardstick to see where they stand.

South Africa’s school’s side will meet the Zimbabwe under 18 team on tomorrow before locking horns with St John’s College on Tuesday.

The visitors will cap off their Zimbabwean tour with a clash against Peterhouse on Thursday 28 June.
