Black Rhinos Queens and Mighty Warriors Striker Rutendo “Mazvimavi” Makore who is on a six month loan spell at Spanish club Sporting Huelva played her first match at the weekend.
Donning the Number 11 shirt, Makore featured for her club in a two goal win.
Although she did not score in her debut match, she made some important assists and received some raving reviews from the Spanish media.
Makore appears to have settled in very well at her new club in Spain where she is on a 6-months loan.
She was scouted during the COSAFA senior women’s tournament held in September in Bulawayo where she won the golden boot after finding the net 10 times.
Earlier this year, Makore and goalkeeper Process Chatsamwa went on a two-month trial stint in Egypt.
The players broke new ground as the first female players to ply their trade outside Zimbabwe after being invited for trials by Egyptian club El Elameyeen FC in Cairo.
The trial stint saw the two players in Cairo from 26 February to 24 April.
The Black Rhinos Queens pair featured in the fledgling Egyptian league and emerged as the top goal-scorer and best keeper.
The players were scouted during the friendly international match and Women’s Africa Cup of Nations played in Cameroon in November last year.
