A delegation from the world’s largest diamond mining conglomerate, Alrosa based in Russia has met President Emmerson Mnangagwa at his Munhumutapa offices in Harare this morning (Saturday).

A delegation from Alrosa, a Russian group of diamond mining companies which has the largest rough diamond reserves in the world is in Zimbabwe to explore opportunities in the diamond sector.

Alrosa chief executive officer Mr Sergey Ivanov said the company is interested in doing business in Zimbabwe.

“Our company is interested in doing business in Zimbabwe which also goes in line with the new government’s economic policies,” he said.

Alrosa is engaged in the exploration, mining, manufacturing and sale of diamonds with operations in the Russia Federation and Africa.
