Cheetahs’ Manager Bruce Hobson believes if maintained, the fighting spirit exhibited by the team at the Spar Sevens tournament will drive Zimbabwe to higher standards in Hong Kong.

Hobson said: “We got a lot of game time which was what we always lacked in the past when we took part in the Hong Kong tournament. The game time the players were exposed to at the Spar Sevens and summer series will prove pivotal at the tournament.”

The Cheetahs took part in the Dubai and Hong Kong legs of the World Sevens Series late last year.

The Hong Kong leg of the World Sevens series will be held in the Asian country from the 23rd to the 25th of this month.
