Rtd. Col. Kenneth Mhlophe is the new Highlanders FC Chairman after winning unopposed in elections that also ushered in Israel Moyo as the Secretary General.

Rtd. Col. Mhlophe, who takes over from the suspended Peter Dube, was unopposed after Ernest Maphepha Sibanda was barred from running by the Highlanders Board of Directors owing to a mismanagement case during the time he was club chairman.

Moyo polled 104 votes against former committee member, Siphatho Ncube’s 60 and Nkululeko Ndlovu’s 15 to land the Secretary General’s post.

Wisdom Mabhena retained his committee member status after amassing 87 votes.

A total of 181 members cast their votes.

The new team promised to work on rebuilding the Bosso legacy with an emphasis to retain the vibrant junior development policy.

New members of the executive, who have a three year mandate, join the Vice Chairman, Modern Ngwenya and Treasurer, Donald Ndebele, who will face a tussle for their positions after next year’s annual general meeting (AGM).
