harare-magistrates-court.03.09.10.jpgSerious water shortages have affected business at Rotten Row court which is now only operating up to midday due to fears of outbreaks of health-related diseases.

Sources at the court revealed that the arrangement will continue until the water problem has been addressed.

Meanwhile, new pipes are being installed in a development that may bring a lasting solution to the perennial water woes at the county’s largest court.

It is reported that some court officials were now using other premises to relieve themselves as the toilets were locked, while the public were left stranded.

The closure of the court will negatively impact on the completion of cases as most of the trials are being deferred to other dates.
