sadat sanhehwe.jpgProduction of a new romantic comedy film, “The Kiss” which looks at the plight of the young working women has been completed.

The film, penned by renowned playwright Sadat Sanhehwe, is expected to hit the screens this Friday.

The 98-minute comedy which is in High Definition format, tackles issues of sexual abuse against women in the working environment and the temptations that await young working girls as they start their journey in career building.

The film is a low budget production with Sanhehwe, who also directs the comedy,  saying those involved in the project had to use their own resources.

Some actors who featured in films such as “The Team” and “Lobola”, television soaps such as Studio 263 and Legacies make up the cast in “The Kiss”.

The film has been unveiled at the Background of the on-going 10th edition of the annual International Images Film Festival for Women and the INPUT film programme for television film producers and directors going on at the Zimbabwe Germany Society.

Despite lack of funding in Zimbabwe, there has been a huge amount of interest in film-making in the country with a number of film lovers looking forward to film festivals that showcase local productions.
