The 2017 festive season road traffic safety campaigns will begin early by remembering road traffic accident victims on the 3rd Sunday of November.

The campaigns will be heralded by the World Day of Remembrance of road traffic accident victims slated for the 19th of next month.

Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ) communication manager, Mr Tatenda Chinoda told ZBC News that preparations are on course where all stakeholders among them churches, chiefs, commuter and bus operators as well as the general populace who lost their relatives due road traffic accidents are set to participate in the campaigns

Mr Chinoda also noted that there are going to be ten road blocks during the period where drivers and motorists will be getting some important information on obeying road rules as they will be travelling in adverse weather conditions since it will be during the rainy season.

The campaigns are done annually to educate people on the dangers of disobeying road rules and many lives have been lost due raid traffic accidents.
