Road and rail infrastructure have been identified as key to the successful implementation of the Zimbabwe National Industrial Development Policy (ZNIDP), thus government is seized with the resuscitation of the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ).
This emerged at a breakfast media briefing on the industrial development policy in the capital this Friday (today).
Industry and Commerce Minister, Honourable Mangaliso Ndlovu said the success of the ZNIDP requires a reliable road and rail infrastructure, hence government is prioritising the revival of the NRZ.
Stakeholders and development partners pledged to fund local and international experts to train entrepreneurs to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge for Zimbabwe’s modern industrialisation.
The Zimbabwe National Industrial Development Policy which runs from 2019 to 2023 seeks to encourage home grown innovation to foster industrial development in the country.
