As the nation gears up for elections next year, the RG’s office is currently in a process to update the voters’ roll.

In an interview with ZBC News, Registrar General, Mr.Tobaiwa Mudede said his office is embarking on a voters’ roll cleaning exercise that will see traditional leaders in the rural areas playing a pivotal role.

At the recently held Zanu PF 12th Annual National People’s Conference, one of the resolution that was passed is for elections to be held next year.

There have been concerns over the years about the country’s voters’ roll, with the private media and the MDC-T accusing the Registrar General’s office of not updating the list.

The process will mark the first step towards elections.
