Motorists and Chipinge villagers have called upon local companies to pull resources together and partner the government to rehabilitate the Tanganga-Chisumbanje road which is in a deplorable state.

Most motorists and transport operators are now shunning the once busy road linking Chipinge town and Checheche Growth Point, running away from potholes.

The motorists said it is important for local companies that are contributing to the destruction of the road to pull resources together and partner the government to rehabilitate the road.

It now takes at least three hours for one to travel from Tanganda to Checheche, a distance that is less than hundred kilometres.

Other transport operators are now using dust roads to negotiate their way to and from Checheche.
